“So now you must choose… Are you a child who has not yet become world-weary? Or are you a philosopher who will vow never to become so? To children, the world and everything in it is new, something that gives rise to astonishment.”

Boston, you are a beauty!

Staying in Boston was a lovely breath of fresh air: friendly people, a lively atmosphere, and…of course, good food. The above shot is near Mass Ave, where I rented a condo.

Back from Sabbatical
I am returning after some time away and have had some wonderful photography adventures in the meanwhile (I will share, I promise). Actually, I’m quite excited to see what everyone else has been capturing in the mean time since I’ve been absent from the blogosphere. So, be ready for some new shots from weddings, my recent trip to Boston, and just the pretty I fall upon every day.
Westminster Abbey
Westminster Abbey. Definitely one of the tourist destinations you don’t want to miss when you’re in London.
Rainy Day on the Tagus River
The Vasco da Gama bridge on a wet, rainy day. ( I’d imagine the scenery looks great when the sun is out.) We waited for the sun to come out, but had no such luck. Instead, it began to pour, so we sought shelter in the Lisbon Oceanarium and befriended a few sea otters.
Lisbon, how I love thee…
I can’t put my finger on it. Was it the friendliness of the people? The smell of fresh pastry when you stroll through the streets? Or maybe it was the bright colours that draw you in and make you want to stay. Whether it was the perfect weather, the fresh espresso, or the amazing people, I couldn’t tell. I’m sure it was a combination of it all. I’d love to go back. Someday…
Maybe it was the view. Simply breathtaking.
One of my favourite things? The attention to detail. And look at that colour contrast.
Capturing Notre Dame
Notre Dame. When everyone thinks of this French Gothic cathedral, they picture the front view, not the flying buttresses around the back. So I decided to photograph around the whole exterior….
The cherry blossoms were in full bloom and looked lovely against the old architecture. I couldn’t resist taking a hundred shots with those blue skies and sunshine.
